This news happens in Venezuela, in this country
the “superintendence of fair prices”, fixed the prices of hundreds of products
from various brands; like Sony, LG, Converse and Everlast. The list was
published on its website, that way everyone who is interested can see the list.
Having regard to the provisions of the Organic Law of Fair Prices, which
requires a maximum of 30% profit on the cost structure in all economic
activities. The list goes from technological gadgets, foods, clothes and even
cars. I find it particularly interesting that they have a superintendence that
handles these issues and further limits the gain of these big companies,
because I think that in Chile, the cost of living is quite high, I think
everyone here paid much for everything. For example, we have the most expensive
concerts in the region. Is a shame, and it’s even worse than we don’t do
anything about it and we are willing to spend money that amount of money on
something that is not worth it.
So I think the idea is good, the problem is
that down below the article are many comments of Venezuelans saying that it's time now to get the products,
as they have prices. One of them even says the Sony closed commercial operations
in last December. Anyway, that’s another story.
Here’s the article if you want to check it.

Good initiative! I agree with that idea would be developed in Chile.
